IIRC it was around 100 degrees here when I did the entire detailing process, it dries really quickly, and after the first coat or two it is very easy to apply and buff. Doesn't take long at all for those additional coats. Sal Zaino recommends multiple coats (of course that keeps you buying more polish don't it?) but I have to say it really did make a difference on my black paint. I don't think you'd get the same cosmetic results on white, I also did a GP white S2000 and though it was blaringly bright afterwards, the additional coats didn't seem to add much visually, but it is still nice to get that added durability of multiple coats.
